Merciful God, Who calls us the Most Valuable Players, have mercy on the Bryant family and all who are suffering due to lives lost in the recent helicopter crash.
We remember Kobe as one who expressed love for us through his gifts to unite people. Basketball was a tool which helped him reach so many of us beyond the bleachers. He dreamed, he lived successfully, shared his goodness and he showed mercy on those in need.
Our sadness intersects with the storm in our country’s democracy. For we are reminded that one who plays the game of life fair and square wins our hearts.
When the clock runs down and the Holy One says “well done,” come home my daughters, my sons, my loved ones, “it is finished.” We are called to that eternal place where life is everlasting. Well done Kobe! You’ve finished your assignment.
“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.” Matthew 5:8
Happy New Year! Welcome to 2020! Let’s begin this year by praying this pray for one another. “May the Lord Bless You and Keep You.” Amen.
Imagine, this new year is like your empty picture frame. How will you fill it? What image will you lay between the smooth glass and the rough background that will hold and support the image of your future?
Let’s Park and Pray at 1:11 pm:
Creator God, there are times when life seems like a collage of tangled moments, tasks and frosty dreams. Thank you Almighty God for walking with us and shining your Light on our path. Praise You for we are “fearfully and wonderfully made.” Help us to avoid undoing your handiwork. O Lord “Bless us and Keep us.” In Thy Holy Name. Amen
