Taking Off the Masks!

Let’s take a deep breath. Pray…
Dear God,
Help us!
Uncover what’s hidden behind our masks.
Help us O God!Breathe with a fresh understanding.
Yes, uncover hatred, racism and tainted privilege.
You’ve removed the masks and allowed many to breathe.
No more of “you can’t…but I can!”
No more hidden agendas
No more derogatory insults spoken under the breath that You, O God own.
Our lips are no longer sealed behind the cloth of Self Righteousness. So we run wild!
As if someone let the dogs loose to roam without a leash. To release their dung on a neighbors freshly cut grass, a carpet that celebrates Light and makes even our bare feet laugh!
O God, Light of the world. You’ve torn off the mask and awakened the dead. Unbound Lazarus! He is awake and without his mask!
Holy One! Shine your Light!
Illuminate a path for healing, reconciliation, recovery and renewal .
Magnify Peace! Righteousness !
Love Divine, Merciful Savior,
Teach us to inhale your love and exchange the same in our words and deeds.
Inspire us to resolve our country’s history of slavery, racism, innocent blood shed, and bigotry. As we come to the first anniversary of George Floyd’s brutal death, we pray the spirit that turns protectors into aggressors is defeated.
Help us resolve the ways we are complicit and complacent.
Many eyes are now open to the horrors of racism, privilege and supremacy that seeks to overpower and torment those who struggle to transcend their suffering.
They remove their masks and show a guarded smile with a caution expression. For they remember yesterday’s nightmare. Masks help us cover our fears.
But, in order to heal, we must remove the masks! Reveal the scars, pus, blood, broken teeth, abscesses, and foul odor.
Debridement! Dig deep! Peel away the layers
We need a Debridement!
Remove the dead and the infected parts!
Dig deep into America’s history of slavery. Extract the false narratives. Remove the rotten wisdom? tooth!?!
A root canal. Explore and extract all that is rotten and full of pain.
Let it rain! Shed buckets of tears! Wet masks cleanse Dear God,
Hear our prayers.
Help us understand when unarmed Black and Brown men, boys and women are a threat greater than a gun.
Please God, have mercy!
Black Lives Matter to You God!
Black Lives Matter to us!
Black Lives must matter to All!Time out! Time out!
Time without masks that hides our sins.No more cover up.
No more covering our noses and avoiding the stench of racism.
God help us!
Take off our masks and witness what’s hidden.Almighty God,
Shine a light on evil practices of racism, injustice and priveledge .
Merciful God,
Take off all masks!
Shine Your Holy Light on a righteousness path.God help us!
Take off the masks! No coverups!
Shine a floodlight on our past, present and future.May Your goodness and mercy follow us all the days of our lives. O that we may be a place for healing and renewal. Let us go. Give thanks, O God.
Embrace Your Holy presence.
We Park and Pray at 1:11. Amen
A Call for Healing
It is you Lord, and, you alone who heals and preserves us. Please, take this prayer into consideration.
We ask that you flood our hearts with a love that overflows with joy for justice and admiration of those who seek peace.
Let all of us hear your call to holiness, and those who are willing, answer this call; purging old ways and adopting practices of discipline that leads to greater faith.
Lord, help us live in ways that serve your purpose, so that the brokenness of the world can be mended and we can see a new day with new possibilities.
In Your Name we pray. Amen

Every Breath is a Prayer
Every breath is a prayer.
A prayer that draws us nearer to the Holy, the Almighty, the Divine, God.
With each breath, Light breaks through strongholds.
Almighty God, deliver us from evil, and all that chokes the life and light out of your people.
O Lord, resuscitate the dead in spirit.
Lead all who fear the dark, the brown, the black and all that is unfamiliar through deadened paths.
Spare us the confessions and chokehold promises.
Bless all with the freedom to breathe that same free and clean air.
O God, hear our prayer.
Open new paths and help us to walk in the Light of Your Holy presence.
In Your Name we pray. 🙏🏾 Amen.
