A Prayer for God’s Way

After the painful Presidential Debate, the clouds cried and it rained all night. Many remember the talking points and the shifting conversations. It resembled thunderstorms of undigested thoughts intended to hurt and harm some of the hearers. Today is a new day. Let’s Pray at 1:11 for God’s Way.

1God be gracious to us and bless us ♦
and make Your face to shine upon us,

2That Your way may be known upon earth, ♦
Your saving power among all nations.

3Let the peoples praise You, O God; ♦
let all the peoples praise You

4O God, let the nations rejoice and be glad, ♦
for You will judge the peoples righteously
and govern the nations upon earth.

5Let the peoples praise You, O God;
let all the peoples praise You

6Then shall the earth bring forth her increase, ♦
and God, our own God, will bless us.

7God will bless us, ♦
and all the ends of the earth shall fear him. Psalms 67

O God, hear now the prayers of your people who are in our hearts and on our minds. We pray for all who are affected by the pandemic, the fires and the floods. We pray for the First Responders, Teachers, Students, Healthcare Workers, Grocers, Postal Carriers, Workers, Unemployed etc.,

In the face of You, O God we are mindful of Your presence.
Your Light and Glory shines forth,
O God of all the nations;
we call upon You to hear the prayers of all Your people.
O God, make known Your presence and Your grace to us.
Help us to do justice, love mercy, and to walk humbly in Your ways. Help us to live and to speak Your way. In Your Holy name we pray. Amen.

  1. Amen! My Lord God bless us all. Keep us focused on you and your words. May this election bring forth peace and fair justice for all. We are your people, the sheep of your pasture. Lead us by still waters and restore all our souls so that our country will be the beacon of light where freedom shines brightly. In the precious name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

  2. Amen. I did not think it healthy to listen to it, especially since I have sleep difficulties – I am dreading the morning papers. Prayer certainly helps.
