His name was John. I called him the Blessed Gardener. Yet, many called him these other names and attributes:
A Bridge and a Builder
A legendary Icon”
“Lion of the Civil Rights”
Extraordinary
“The Conscience of Congress”
A Moral leader
A Sharecropper’s Son
A Cotton Farm Boy
A Loving brother, father, uncle, cousin and friend
A Widow wedded to the Promise of freedom and justice for all
A Hero
A Georgia Congressman
A Change Agent
A Movement
Peaceful, Nonviolent, Hero
An Architect of the march
A Bridge in troubled waters
A Champion, Protester, Agitator, and Support for innocent Gun violence victims
A “Good Trouble Maker” who sat down and called his colleagues to Sit In and change Gun Violence legislations
A Force who sat at forbidden lunch counters.
A Prisoner for nonviolent protests who stood up for Voters Rights, Civil Rights, Human Rights, Liberty, and the welfare and dignity of all people.
An Advocate, an Idol and Icon of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. teachings

God, we thank You for his life and his works. Thank You for calling him, inspiring and equipping him to do the hard work. May his seeds of love and nonviolent protest flourish. May his life inspire generations to serve You and heal our nation and world according to Your ways and as You will.
